This Internet Register allows you to verify a Firearms Licence or Permit to Acquire.
The Firearms Registry collects and uses personal information in accordance with the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998.
We may also use and disclose personal information for purposes related or ancillary to the main reason it was collected to a third party deemed appropriate by the Commissioner in conjunction with the approval of the individual to whom the information relates. Appropriate third parties include the following: Licensed firearms dealers Licensed club armourers Licensed security firmsLicensed government agencies Approved shooting clubs Members of the general public
This system may be used in conjunction with existing practices to authenticate a firearms licence or a permit to acquire.
